Presentation
Abdominal distension and discomfort
Patient Data
Frontal abdominal radiography shows a large, well-circumscribed oval opacity, occupying the mid and right side of the abdomen and pelvis.
An ultrasound exam has been performed and shows a large heterogeneous mass arising from the pelvis (no images available).
MRI demonstrates a large mass arising from the broad ligament with abdominal extension.
It has a heterogeneous signal on T2WI hypointense on T1WI, with the presence of some hemorrhagic areas and heterogeneous enhancement following contrast.
There is no restriction of diffusion.
Other organs are normal. No lymphadenopathy.
Case Discussion
After surgical resection, the diagnosis was confirmed as a broad ligament leiomyoma.
