Patient Data
Some ossifications in the back soft tissue of cervical spine are likely nuchal ligament ossification.
The patient experienced anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF).
On CT images, the nuchal ligament ossifications are evident.
Cervical osteophytes and ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament are also noted.
On MRI images, ossifications show hyperintense on T1W, T2W, and fat-suppressed on STIR so it may has bone marrow
The patient experienced anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF).
Case Discussion
These findings on X-ray, CT, and MRI images are typical characteristics of nuchal ligament ossification.
