Case Discussion

This is a case of an athlete who experienced shoulder dislocation. The patient suffered from shoulder laxity following the injury and a labral tear was clinically suspected. Although magnetic resonance is the mainstay investigation for labral injuries, ultrasound can be invaluable in demonstrating small labral tears that may not be conspicuous in magnetic resonance. A paralabral cyst is highly suggestive of an underlying labral injury.
