Inflamed retrocecal appendix with a pocket of inflammatory air mixed fluid collection adjacent to it suggestive of appendicular abscess. There is also evidence of appendicolith at its base. Few prominent lymph nodes are noted at right iliac fossa. No intestinal obstruction or mass formation.
There is slight unusual position of the cecum which is reaching up to true pelvis and is called mobile.
Case Discussion
The patient was managed acutely with an appendectomy and evacuation of the collection.
The patient had a satisfactory post-operative recovery.
