Reduced range of movement, limited supination, road traffic collision as a child ?previous injury/old fracture

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Proximal radioulnar synostosis

x-ray

Proximal radio-ulnar synostosis.

Resultant shortening and bowing deformity of the radius, as well as positive ulnar variance.

Incidental small bone island (enostosis), of no clinical significance

Case Discussion

Proximal radio-ulnar synostosis can be congenital or acquired.

In this case, the absence of prior imaging make this difficult to determine.
