Case contributed by Tariq Walizai
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
mri

There is a partially circumscribed, elongated, CSF signals intensity area seen, almost opposite to D5-D6 levels (no definite landmark is provided for counting of vertebral level). The lesion shows communication with the epidural space. No abnormal post-contrast enhancement is noted.

The absence of posterior elements is noted opposite to the above-mentioned levels, which is due to previous surgery.

Case Discussion

The patient has undergone surgery for a dorsal spine lesion; however, no record is available.

MRI features are suggestive of post-surgical sequelae in the form of pseudomeningocele as described above.
