Fibrous dysplasia of skull base

Discussion:

The findings of CT in a 19 Y/O patient are compatible with fibrous dysplasia.

Fibrous dysplasia involving the base of the skull may be detected as an incidental finding on imaging performed for an indication unrelated to the skull base. The most common appearance of fibrous dysplasia on CT is an expanded bone showing a ground-glass appearance and diagnosis of fibrous dysplasia on CT is usually straightforward.
