Dilated cardiomyopathy with non-compaction of the left ventricle

Discussion:

This is a case of non-compaction of the left vetricle: thickened trabecular layer with thin compact myocardium. Globular remodeling of the left ventricle is also presented.

Hearth failure is due to impaired ventricular contraction and decreased ejection fraction. The left ventricle is dilated.
