Scoliosis is the abnormal lateral curvature of the spine (>10⁰ Cobb angle) where idiopathic scoliosis is by far the most common (~80%) cause.

Management of the Scoliosis:

• Curvatures <20⁰ requires no bracing or surgical intervention (Careful monitoring after 3 month is necessary to look, if the angle progress >5⁰ if the patient is between 10-15 years)
• Curvature 20-40⁰ should be braced to prevent progression in the growth period
• Curvature >40⁰ surgical intervention
