Centrilobular region

The centrilobular region, in context of the lungs and HRCT, refers to the central portion of the secondary pulmonary lobule, around the central pulmonary artery and bronchiole. Normal pulmonary artery is visible on thin-cut CT scans, measuring up to 0.5 to 1.0 mm in diameter. Meanwhile, normal bronchiole is not visible, measuring only 0.15 mm in diameter 2.
