Molar tooth sign (pelvis)

The pelvic molar tooth sign refers to the appearance of contrast media which has spilt out of the urinary bladder on CT cystography after extraperitoneal bladder rupture.

Contrast flows out of the ruptured bladder, occupying the preperitoneal cavum Retzii and surrounds the bladder in the shape of a molar tooth 1.
