Myelitis

Myelitis is a collective term simply referring to any inflammation of the spinal cord. It is a form of myelopathy.

The two major sub types include:

  1. leukomyelitis
    1. multiple sclerosis
    2. ADEM
  2. transverse myelitis
    1. ideopathic transverse myelitis
    2. secondary transverse myelitis: viral, neurosyphilis 2, autoimmune, post vaccination, etc.
