What are the typical demographics for patients affected by Behçet disease?
Typical age is young and middle aged adults (20-40 years) with a male predilection.
There is patchy hyperintensity with mild expansion of the pons and ventral midbrain. There is asymmetric involvement of the right cerebral peduncle over the left. The high signal involves the right mesodiencephalic junction with extension into the white matter tracts. There is patchy associated enhancement.
