An emergency CT was performed on the same day as the patient's condition worsened, and it revealed a large perinephric haematoma with contrast leakage from the terminal portion of the main left renal artery that filled the area of the renal hilum and extended to the perinephric space. The left kidney is enlarged with patchy parenchymal enhancement (abnormal perfusion).
The right kidney is small, containing two cysts inside.
Bilateral mild amounts of pleural effusion and upper abdominal free fluid were noticed.
