There is a well-defined, subcutaneous lesion in the region of interest. It is located between the distal end of the iliotibial band and the lateral edge of the distal part of the patellar tendon. The lesion is separate from both structures. The lesion abuts the proximal tibial cortex without erosion. The size of the lesion is 18 (craniocaudal) x 18 (transverse) x 9 (anteroposterior) mm. It is hyperechoic with few tiny hypoechoic areas within. The lesion shows a well-defined thin hypoechoic rim - capsule. There is no calcification/ internal vascularity.
