The left hippocampus is small and T2 hyperintense, with loss of the internal architecture. There is also a suggestion of mild increased T2 hyperintensity in the left amygdala.
Otherwise, unremarkable. In particular, no suspicious susceptibility, diffusion restriction or findings of a migrational anomaly or cortical dysplasia.
Conclusion
Findings are that of left mesial temporal sclerosis. Suggestion of left amygdala hyperintensity may be related, however, a concomitant ipsilateral amygdala pathology (ie. dysplasia) is not excluded.
