Presentation
Previous well and sudden onset of cough 5 months prior. During the preceding 5 months, she has been treated for recurrent pneumonia and asthma. Recent chest radiograph (not shown) demonstrated left lower lobe bronchiectasis.

There is an opacity lodged in the left main bronchus, just above the left upper lobe bronchus. There is associated left lower lobe bronchiectasis.
Case Discussion
This patient underwent bronchoscopy and three bean seeds were removed. Bronchiectasis is a known complication of prolonged foreign body retention.
