Polydactyly

Discussion:

Polydactyly and syndactyly can be normal variants or may be associated with a syndrome.  This case demonstrates a pre-axial (i.e. radial) extra digit, which is the less common than post-axial (i.e. ulnar) polydactyly. The patient had an otherwise normal physical exam, indicating that this was an isolated case and not associated with another anomaly or syndrome.
