Patient Data

Age: 40 years
x-ray

Multiple tiny (2-3 mm) high-density foci throughout both lungs.

Heart size normal.

Normal mediastinal contours.

Case Discussion

This patient provided a prior history of varicella.

The radiograph demonstrates typical appearances of prior varicella pneumonia, with numerous tiny high-density foci evenly scattered throughout both lungs.
