Transverse fracture line through the proximal 5th metatarsal with extension into the joint space with the cuboid and fourth metatarsal in favour of an avulsion fracture.
Case Discussion
Avulsion fractures of the 5th metatarsal styloid should be differentiated from other types of fractures that occur at the base of the 5th metatarsal as well as the normal 5th metatarsal apophysis.
