A radiopaque linear foreign body is present within the nasal cavity, appearing to reach the sphenoid sinus.

CT scan confirms the presence of a foreign body in the nose, the tip reaching the sphenoid sinus but not extending into the intracranial compartment. 

Case Discussion

This child had, as children do, inserted a crayon into his nose, and was unable to retrieve it. It was eventually removed using forceps.
