Abnormal subchondral bone marrow signal involving lower surfaces of the left sacroiliac joint and displays the low signal on T1 and high signal on STIR images depicting an inflammatory process.
The joint space of both ligamentous and synovial parts of the joints is preserved.
The shape and signal intensities of the muscle attachments also are normal.
Case Discussion
MRI findings are consistent with left sacroiliitis.
