The recent case represents an undescended right testis, lying within the pelvic cavity, just medial to the ipsilateral external iliac vessels with normal MRI features of the left testis within its respective hemiscrotum. Cryptorchidism can be unilateral or bilateral. The first line investigation is ultrasound. MRI is the best cross-sectional modality and preferred to ultrasound to assess the abdominal crypto-orchidism with higher sensitivity and specificity1.
