Presentation
Recurrent abdominal pain for 3 years.
Patient Data

The pancreas is atrophic with beaded dilatation and areas of narrowing of the main pancreatic duct (MPD) in its body and tail region. There are few T1/T2 hypointense intraductal calculi in the MPD in the region of the distal body of the pancreas.
There is no evidence of any cystic lesion in the pancreatic duct/side branches.
No evidence of peripancreatic fat stranding.
Case Discussion
Chronic pancreatitis represents the end result of a continuous, prolonged, inflammatory, and fibrosing process that affects the pancreas. This results in irreversible morphologic changes and permanent endocrine and exocrine pancreatic dysfunction. Cambridge classification system is based on the status of the main pancreatic duct (PD) and the presence of side branch abnormalities.
