Long history of sensorineural hearing loss. No abnormality seen on otoscopic exam.

There is a dysplastic appearance of the cochlea, which is much smaller than expected. Only a basal turn is distinctly identified. There is no appreciable interscapular septae and modiolus. The vestibule is dilated. There is a dysplastic appearance of the lateral semicircular canal, noting that the lateral semicircular canal. There is stenosis of the cochlear aperture. The ossicular chain is intact with the stapes footplate in the oval window.

Case Discussion

This is a case of a cochlear incomplete partition type II, as seen by the dysplastic appearance of the cochlea, vestibule, and lateral semicircular canal. The patient began following with otolaryngology following this study for additional management.
