Presentation
Pain and deformity left wrist, after a history of slip and fell on an outstretched hand in the kitchen. On examination: right wrist deformed, no external wounds, motion is restricted.
Patient Data

The X-ray shows right distal radial fracture with dorsal displacement (Colles fracture).
Small avulsed fracture at the tip of the right ulnar styloid process.

Intra-operative radiographs for surgically fixated right distal radial fracture by three K-wires in good alignment.
Case Discussion
The vast majority of Colles fractures can be treated with closed reduction and cast immobilisation.
The patient was admitted to the general hospital and it was decided to perform a surgical procedure in the orthopaedics department.
Orthopaedic pinning upper limb Rt (Verified).
This is an intraoperative procedure performed under the direct supervision of the attending surgeon/physician, not a radiologist. A radiologist's review and subsequently a report of the images from this examination are not required. Image review and interpretation by a radiologist are available, if required, upon request by the surgeon/physician.
