Presentation
Suspected biceps tendon tear
Patient Data
Note: This case has been tagged as "legacy" as it no longer meets image preparation and/or other case publication guidelines.

There is a large layered fluid collection in the anterior distal forearm. Within it, a retracted distal biceps tendon is seen curled up. The haematoma measures 3.6 x 6.7 cm transversely and 12 cm craniocaudal extent. The distal biceps tendon is curled up inside the collection and appears markedly thickened and fibrillated. It is retracted from its proximal radial insertion by approximately 13 cm. There is minimal soft tissue oedema around the medial and posteromedial soft tissues.
Case Discussion
An example of a distal biceps tendon rupture.
