Presentation
Severe dyspnoea and fever (39.5ºC) with low oxygen saturation (SpO2 75%) in a patient with positive RT-PCR COVID-19 test two days ago.
Patient Data

Symmetrical air space consolidations and ground-glass opacities with superimposed fine thickening of interlobular and intralobular septa throughout both lungs
The gradient of increasing density from the ventral to the dorsal lungs
Case Discussion
Two days after admission the patient passed away. Chest CT scan showed characteristic imaging findings of ARDS with symmetrical ground-glass opacities and air space consolidations with a gradient of increasing density from the ventral to the dorsal lung.
