Nuclear Medicine HIDA scan shows hepatic uptake and excretion of radiotracer into hepatic/bile duct and bowel, but no radiotracer in the gallbladder suggesting cystic duct obstruction.
Case Discussion
Cholescintigraphy may demonstrate cystic duct obstruction, confirming a diagnosis of cholecystitis.
