Presentation
Supraglottic mass lesion by laryngoscopy at the lingual surface of the epiglottis.
Patient Data

A small well defined fluid signal intensity lesion is seen expanding the right epiglottic vallecula at the level of the hyoid bone. It abuts the aryepiglottic fold and the base of epiglottis. It abuts the base of the epiglottis and base or right hemitongue, with no MRI sign of infiltration or invasion. It exhibits hyperintense T2 signal, low T1 signal intensity with no significant enhancement after contrast administration. No significant periglotic fat or soft tissue invasion seen.
Case Discussion
Vallecula is depression in the oropharynx that located anterior to the epiglottis and posterior to the tongue base. Right vallecula cyst is seen.
