Haemorrhagic infarct in left temporooccipital lobes with surrounding oedema, causing mass effect with compression of left lateral ventricle and midline shift of approx. 5.8 mm towards the right side.

On the MIP image, the left vein of Labbé is not visualised. This is seen as a prominent flow void on coronal T2 images with blooming on GRE images.

Case Discussion

The cause and effect of isolated thrombosis of the vein of Labbé are both well seen. It is intriguing that the major dural venous sinuses are normal and patent.
