Info

Chronic lateral epicondylitis with a partial thickness tear of the left common extensor tendon originating from the left lateral epicondyle, showing increased signal intensity on PDFS and T2W sequences.

Case Discussion

The imaging findings are consistent with left lateral epicondylitis. The patient was treated with NSAIDs for pain relief and inflammation, with good response.

Lateral epicondylitis, also known as tennis elbow, is an overuse syndrome affecting the common extensor tendon, primarily involving the extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB) tendon.
