A slightly displaced, oblique fracture line involving the medial malleolus with intra-articular extension is seen.

Small bony plantar calcaneal spur.

The rest of the visualised bones appear unremarkable.

Case Discussion

X-ray findings are consistent with left medial malleolus fracture in the setting of trauma.

The medial malleolus fracture has five types include, chip fracture (avulsion fracture), transverse fracture, vertical fracture, oblique fracture (like our case) and comminuted fracture.
