Presentation
Chief complaint: cut injury chin due to battery blast at the workplace, complain of foreign body in the chin. Examination: small wound on the chin, no tendon or vessel injury
Patient Data



Soft tissue swelling of the chin. A small faint radio-opaque shadow is noted at the soft tissue of the chin may be a foreign body.
Case Discussion
The patient was admitted for chin cut injury and the nuchal ligament ossification are noted as an incidental finding.
Sesamoid ossicles of the nuchal ligament are a relatively common anatomical variant that is usually asymptomatic and most commonly occur at the C5-C6 or C6-C7 vertebral levels.
