Rounded area of reduced bone density without expansion in the right parietal bone (arrows). No underlying brain abnormality, e.g. meningioma, and no associated soft tissue mass. 

Case Discussion

Osteoporosis circumscripta is rare and thought to be due to the early or lytic phase of Paget disease. Differential diagnosis is fibrous dysplasia.
