Presentation

Episodes of hypoglycaemia in a healthy young patient. Repeated fasting hypoglycaemia was always between 30-45 mg/dL.

A relatively well-defined (2.7 x 2.2 cm) hypervascularized mass is seen at the neck of the pancreas with no infiltration of adjacent peripancreatic fat or enlarged lymph nodes.

Note small simple hepatic cyst of the segment VII of subcapsular location (confirmed by ultrasound, not shown).

Case Discussion

The clinical presentation and the CT features are suggestive an endocrine tumour of the pancreas (insulinoma).
