Presentation
Left wrist and hand pain in the ulnar side dorsal aspect.
Patient Data

Abnormal intrasubstance increased fluid signal and thickening is present along the course of the fifth extensor compartment ( extensor digit minimi ) starts from the level of wrist proximal row bones down to the level of fifth metacarpal bone midshaft ( in limited cuts of the wrist ) due to partial thickness tear. Associated fluid signal also is seen within the sheath of the fifth extensor compartment in the background of tenosynovitis.
Case Discussion
The patient referred to us with the history of left-wrist pain radiates to the little finger associated with the inability of the fifth finger extension from 6 months ago. After the initial assessment, hand MRI was done and revealed partial thickness tear of the fifth extensor digitorum tendon associated with tenosynovitis.
