Finger pain. History of prior dislocation.
Patient Data




Joint space narrowing, osteophytes and bony remodeling of the fourth finger proximal and distal interphalangeal joints. Articular surface irregularity of the fourth middle phalangeal base.
Distal ulna metalware. Small calcific focus at the tip of the ulnar styloid.




No osteoarthritis, fracture or dislocation.
Case Discussion
This football player developed post-traumatic osteoarthritis after a history of fourth finger dislocation. This case is slightly atypical in that two joints have been affected, although they are of the same ray and presumably both joints were injured.
