Presentation
Headache.
Patient Data

Bilateral protrusion of the infra-orbital nerve canals into the maxillary sinuses by the means of a bony septum (or mesentery).
The septum attaching the canal to the anterior sinus wall measures (7.5 mm on the right and 6.5 mm on the left). The distance at which protrusion begins posterior to the inferior orbital rim is about (12 mm on the right and 14 mm on the left side), additional septum connecting the canal into the medial wall noted bilaterally terminate at the anterior aspect of the sinus ostia.
Case Discussion
Protrusion of the infraorbital canal into the maxillary sinus is variant anatomy detected on sinus CT scan and important to be reported to avoid inadvertent intraoperative injury.
