Presents with new headache, severe, and localized to the right temporal region, associated with vomiting.

Info

Large, bilobed extra-axial right parieto-occipital mass. The mass has heterogenous signal on T1, mildly high signal on T2, facilitated diffusion and avid, relatively homogeneous enhancement. Multiple prominent vessels within and around the margins of the mass. Surrounding edema and significant associated mass effect with right to left subfalcine herniation, early right uncal herniation and compression of the right cerebellar hemisphere.

Case Discussion

The patient proceeded to surgical resection, complicated by significant intra-operative hemorrhage. 

Final diagnosis: Hemangiopericytoma, WHO Grade 2 (WHO 2016)
