CT of the brain demonstrates subarachnoid blood located predominantly in the interpeduncular and prepontine cisterns.
Case Discussion
This case illustrates the typical appearances of a perimesencephalic subarachnoid haemorrhage. As is usually the case no source of bleeding (ie no aneuryms or vascular malformation or tumour etc..) was found despite angiography and MRI.
