Small well demarcated bony fragment with associated soft tissue swelling overlying the dorsum of the wrist.

No distal radius or ulna fracture.

Case Discussion

The typical mechanism of injury and appearances for a triquetral fracture.  This is the most common carpal bone fracture.

This is a check area on all trauma wrist films. It is a typical film to appear in the FRCR rapid reporting examination.
