Two calculi with coronal heights up to 8 mm are impacted in the left ureterovesical junction causing pronounced hydroureteronephrosis upstream. The left kidney is relatively enlarged. A few calcified foci in the prostate are seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates two calculi impacted in ureterovesical junction on non-contrast MDCT and pronounced hydroureteronephrosis upstream. Calculi are the most common cause of ureteric obstruction and in recurrent cases can lead to chronic renal failure.
