Ovarian fibroma

Discussion:

MRI findings are likely representing a benign left ovarian lesion with a fibrous component (ovarian fibroma). This was followed by excisional biopsy and histopathology which confirmed the diagnosis. It is a benign connective tissue tumor arising from the ovarian stroma, commonly affecting middle age females. On MRI, it has a low T2 signal which is considered a characteristic feature of fibrous origin tumors.
