The MRI features are suggestive of a ring-shaped lateral ventricular nodule (RSLVN), incidental findings in this case.

The RSLVNs are considered benign lesions (leave me alone lesions), usually asymptomatic and discovered incidentally during an MRI exam. The exact nature of these nodules remains unknown due to the lack of histopathological data.

On imaging, the main differential diagnosis includes:

• subependymal heterotopia: usually seen in patients history of epilepsy
• subependymal hamartomas: seen in patients with tuberous sclerosis
