Intestinal intussusception associated with cecum adenocarcinoma

Discussion:

Contrast-enhanced CT scans demonstrate an ileocolic intussusception secondary to a caceum tumor acting as a lead point. The patient was treated with right hemicolectomy and the surgeons confirmed the diagnosis.

Most adult intestinal intussusceptions are secondary to malignant lesion 1.
