Discussion:

Pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS), also known as diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor, is a benign proliferative disorder of uncertain etiology that affects synovial lined joints, bursae, and tendon sheaths. The alterations can be villous and/or nodular.
