Cystic hygroma

Discussion:

Cystic hygroma, also known as nuchal or cystic lymphangioma, refers to congenital macrocystic lymphatic malformations. It commonly occurs in the fetal, infantile or pediatric populations. The cervicofacial regions are the most commonly involved. It is commonly associated with aneuploidic, non-aneuploidic anomalies.

Ultrasound images show a cystic lesion in the neck region, which may contain internal separation, +/- fetal anasarca/non-hydrop details.
