DSA (angiography) - Embolization
What characteristic angiographic features, we see in this case?
Dense early arterial network and microaneurysms, are frequently encountered in angiomyolipomas, as in this case. Also, there is lack of arterio-venous shunting. Not the brisk extravasation and pooling of contrast inferiorly.
Initial injection into the renal artery demonstrates brisk extravasation of contrast inferiorly, consistent with rapid ongoing bleeding. A microcatheter was navigated into bleeding vessel and glue was used to occlude it (not shown).
