Choroid plexus papilloma

Discussion:

Digital subtraction angiography was performed pre-operatively which confirmed the presence of feeding vessels. In this case, the feeding vessels were not amenable to pre-operative embolization. A craniotomy and resection of the intraventricular lesion was performed. Histological analysis of resected tissue confirmed a diagnosis of choroid plexus papilloma.

In the pediatric population, choroid plexus papillomas tend to most frequently occur in trigone of the lateral ventricles as seen in this case.
